1959 Porsche 718 RSK Spyder Restoration – Part 3 This series of posts will cover the build of this unique 1959 Porsche 718 RSK Spyder. Find part 1 here and part 2 here. Out of thirty-four 718 RSKs made by Porsche, this is number six, an unknown number survive. We’ll continue with the right bodyside rebuild, including the rocker panel, we patterned from the left body side. Offering up the new right rocker to new right RSK Spyder body side. Place datum patterns to confirm symmetrical shape. Next, we handcrafted a B-post to match the newly fabricated body side for this Porsche RSK. B-post was made with a custom jig. Another piece of the RSK Spyder puzzle: the door skin added to the new body side / B-post. Backside view of the new Porsche B-post. Back inside the datum box, fine-tuning the Porsche RSK body side, including the new rocker, B-post, and door skin.
